About Us
Our vision is to build a community of
spiritual healing by empowering and supporting faith and community
organizations in their services to people suffering from substance abuse
and other addictions through prevention, awareness, education, and
training.
Four ways to include drug prevention
in your religious programs:
- Elevate substance abuse prevention on
your faith agenda
- Put substance abuse prevention
messages in the context of your faith and religious beliefs
- Help youth sort out the meaning in the
messages
- Look for opportunities to spread the
word

on Addiction & Substance Abuse Household Survey:
- Those age 18 and over who attend
religious services are less likely to use tobacco, alcohol, marijuana,
and other illicit drugs than those who do not attend religious
services.
- Adults who never attend religious
services are almost
twice as likely to drink as those who attend services
weekly or more often.
- Almost 14 million adult Americans (6.9
percent) use
illicit drugs. Adults who never attend religious services are almost
eight times likelier to have used marijuana in the
past 30 days and more than five times likelier to have
used another illicit drug than those who attend religious services
weekly or more often.
